Welcome to The Miss Senshi Pageant

Welcome to The Miss Senshi Pageant!

As you have probably seen in the 2011 version of Senshi Pageant, we are still learning, developing, and growing as a pageant. The 2012 contest will hopefully be another great stepping stone on our road to creating an enjoyable, helpful, and rewarding experience for all of the contestants. Since the real goal of this contest is to help you grow as an artist, writer, and a creator in general, there will be no eliminations from round to round. Also, please keep in mind that each round will ask you to do specific types of writing or drawing to help push your boundaries and continue to develop. If at an point you have any questions, comments, or feedback please feel free to contact any of the judges.

Overall Contest Rules:

We invite everyone to join the pageant: senshi, knight, villain, female, male... if you play in the Sailor Moon AU you are welcome.

You may only enter one character during the duration of the present contest (subject to change depending on amount of entries)

Pre-existing characters are okay, but all artwork must be new

Your piece can be a traditional or digital medium

Please, No WebDollz, KiSS or base made pictures. NOTE: This rule does not extend to using references for poses/costumes.

After entering the Qualification Round, you may skip one round with notice.

Late entries will be taken, but there will be a 3 point deduction.

How to Join

Simply click the "Join group" button above, then submit your entry in the "2012 Qualification Round" folder.

Rounds/Tentative Schedule:

1. Qualification Round: Initial Interview (Questionnaire)

2. Civilian Form: Their non-senshi life - (Short Story)

3. Fancy Clothing: History/Life - (Comic/Scene)

4. Talent Portion/Power: Senshi History/Life - (Long Status Style)

5. Swimsuit Competition: On Stage Questions - (3 out of 5 personalized questions)

6. Victory Pose: - What would you do as Miss Senshi? - (Free Form)

Scoring:

Each round will be judged a little differently by our panel of judges. Focusing the round's points differently depending on the main focus of the round (Explained as each round is rolled out). Since no one is eliminated, the round "winners" will be based on their scoring for the round. The final Miss Senshi Pageant and Runner Up will be chosen by their overall final score.

Judges:

With there being no elimination round we expect there to be a lot of work for each judge. Thus we have divided up the judging to specialties with the chance of alternates and guest judges. Also, due to the large amount of judging to be done, there will not always be time for long in depth explanations on every area of judging, if you ever have any questions or need clarification or tips on what to do next time, please ask. The whole point of the contest is to grow and develop and we are happy to help however we can. With that in mind please remember each judge will have their own style and way of presenting information, please keep this in mind and remember every bit of feedback is meant to help you in the next round or as a creator in general.

Senshi Pageant 2011 Final Round Results

The Inaugural Senshi Pageant has finally reached it's conclusion. It has been a long tough competition with ups and downs for everyone involved, but we have finally narrowed it down to our final 3 contestants from which we will choose our 2011 Reigning Miss Senshi! We have also chosen our 1st and 2nd Runner ups who are in line to step up in case the winner is unable to perform their duties for any reason (just a warning you will be disqualified from taking the crown if foul play is suspected...)

Thank you all for participating in the first annual Senshi Pageant. We believe it has been a learning and growing experience for all of us. We hope you will join us again for our 2012 Senshi Pageant, where we have changed up the rules a bit in the hopes of giving everyone a chance to learn and grow with us! ([link])

- Reading through all your entries these last 6 rounds you have truly stuck to Doom’s personality and I love it. Your artwork has improved as well, from thinning out the lines to more dynamic/harder to do poses. I cannot think of any questions I still have remaining for Doom and thank you for having her with us.

- Wow, did this ever match her character and the round.  This was a very dynamic pose. I think you definitely challenged yourself.

- I really enjoyed the write up. I just love reading how she sees things and Sailor Metal trying to explain how the Earth works is just amusing. (I so love that you integrated the typical "World Peace" answer.  LOL

)

- Tsuki/Sunshine has certainly grown and developed since the first entry just a few months ago. Your anatomy has massively improved and her personality has come full circle. This entry itself was jaw dropping. Each page had so much thought put into it along with your writing had the set-up for the entry itself. You even added the small details like the table of contents and the random items on the desk, advertisements (But there’s no leaf advertisement… D: ) and included her senshi group and previous entries which was nice.

- Sailor Sunshine is such a cute character. You have found another new way to convey her character. This was a very unique entry.

- You definitely put a lot of effort into the magazine. I think it definitely portrayed

- Your answer was shown not just in the writing, but in the magazine. I love how the story tied right into the drawing. I also had a lot of fun going through and looking at all the little details. This was definitely an amazing entry with everything this type of magazine and contest should have. Very nicely done.

- Thank you for competing. I have really enjoyed watching you entries grow into this final amazing combination of effort. I think you really managed to bring everything together.

- “Malis stepped forward and grinned at her judges, it was time to WoW them!” I see what you did there

I love Malis’ final form as it supports the previous entries showing the tattoos and adornments. I also very much loved the way you incorporated not only Malis coming to the pageant realm but her interactions with Sunshine and Doom as well. Her reasoning for wanting to win was certainly unique and I would love to see Rynn become a senshi.

- Malis continues to be a very unique character that I enjoy reading about. It is interesting to see and hear things from her perspective and dialect.

- I love seeing Malis strut her stuff and all of the shinies look great. I love that you included the other contestants and you really captured their personalities too.  I was very excited to see someone do a "runway" type picture (very pageanty).

- I really enjoy reading how Malis thinks and speaks, it always makes me smile.

- Thank you for all of your hardwork in the contest.  I have loved watching your skills and characters grow and develop.  You have made a very interesting world and I hope to see Rynn find her way as a senshi in the future also.
